Laurie Anderson
Laurie Anderson
Laurie was commissioned to create a film to be shown on a gigantic screen (several city-blocks wide) at the EXPO in Japan. We created the opening title, end credit sequence, and some internal graphics.
Laurie Anderson Promo
The film was screened on the Astrovision on the Times Square, and for that occasion, we created a 30 second promotional video piece for Laurie's performance at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), called "The End of the Moon".
Laurie Anderson Word Fall
She was also commissioned by the EXPO to create site-specific multimedia pieces. One of them was called "Word Fall". It used two screens: one vertical LED screen where Japanese text appeared, and one horizontal LCD screen (installed facing up) where English text appeared. As the Japanese text scrolled down, the translated text in English would appear in concentric circles on the LCD screen. I designed the text animations specifically for these devices.
